Anyone shooting the Lightening SA? Information on how it shoots, problems/issues would be appreciated.  My 14 yr old daughter wants to shoot CAS and likes the fit and feel of my original DA Lightenting.  Also, what about the Model P Jr., any information or problems with this model would also be helpful.

It's a great little gun. I had a nickeled one with the 3 1/2" barrel that I carried in a Huckleberry rig gor a while. It shot very well and I had no problems with it. I actually liked it better than my orginial Colt Lightning. I sold it (my mistake), but I am thinking of ordering another just like it from the Marshal.

I recently received a Thunderer, and am ordering a Lightning, but have heard from a couple of Lightning users that they love them.  If this is for your daughter and a keeper, I would spend the extra money for the USA finish and get the 4 3/4" barrel length.  The USA finish is well worth the money as you get real traditional Case Coloring to the frame and hammer done here in America.  The 4 3/4" barrel will help with better control of muzzle flip.  Good Luck!

I had a pair of them with 3 1/2" barrels. They were great little guns. Shot right on and were easy to point. They required a little work to lighten the mainspring but almost everything you get does so no big deal. I sold them because the grip shape wasn't the same as the originals and that's what I wanted. Nothing against them, they were good guns.
