Sgt Major Barber

Greetings from the Southern Oregon Coast.

I have joined forces with SCORRS and in tomorrow's brown truck delivery will be a .44 New Army, and a .36 New Police.  I enjoy military surplus rifles (10-favorite being a Garand), an AR 15, black powder musket, rifles (5) and pistol, and a nice SAA .38/357 GWII Californian and a Vaquero in .45 Colt, a Marlin 336 and 1894C.  Have a .270, and 25-06 for deer and other like critters.  Have a Taurus 24/7, a '51 Navy, '60 Army, '62 New Police, and tomorrow the 2-Remingtons plus about Thursday, a Uberti 61 Navy.....I like 'em all, and shoot 'em all.  I believe that the cap and ball revolvers are, in addition to being fun to shoot, pieces of art.  I love the lines and balance of all of them.

Married to a lady that will shoot once in awhile, an 18 year old son that can shoot the socks off me anytime, anywhere, and in any climate.  Have an 11-year old daughter that is ready to shoot the 62 New Police...fits her hand perfectly.

I am on 100% Service connected disability, and SS Disability and am 63 years old.  Born in Iowa, spent 7 years in Montana (I will go back to live there someday), and 7 years here on the Oregon coast.  At my young age, havin' youngin's is sometimes a challenge, but we all enjoy gettin' out and running rounds downrange.

Handle comes from town of Two Dot in Montana that was named after a brand that was used in the area.

Guess that's it.  Glad to be getting the Remington's as I will be using R&D cylinders in addition to regular bp and round ball.

Looking forward to learning alot and enjoying the posts here.

All the best,

Hey welcome aboard.

I'm a pretty new member myself, and a self-proclaimed gun nut, its always good to see a fellow shooter emerge on any of the forums.
