This is driving me crazy.  All I want is a set of .32 S&W dies.  I don't want .32 S&W Long, H&R, Colt, etc.  Does anyone know who is selling them?  This caliber is soooooo old that not too many people know the right answer.  Now you see my perdicament.

I tried to deal with sales people at the die companies and got only one for sure answer.  Lyman told me they don't make these dies any more.  Now I have a gun that I will have to buy factory ammo at a rediculous prices.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Since 32 S&W can be loaded with 32 Long and 32 Mag dies, why should they make such a limited production die that will have low sales.  My Hornaday's from 1988 are labeled for all three and will lad all three, plus 32 Aoto with the other shell holder.

Check with the company of your choice and make sure they are set up to do the short ones, buy a set and save money.  If someone makes one just for 32 S&W it would be more likely to be in the higher priced low production types.

I bought the .32 S&W Long dies. I size .32 S&W Long & .32 H&R Mag with it. But, I have not tried .32 S&W since I don't have any cases in that caliber. I don't see why it wouldn't work though.

I bought a set of RCBS cowboy dies that in the catalog said .32S&W and .32S&W Long. When they arrived, they had the correct part # but said Long and .32 H&R Mag. Called RCBS and was told that the crimp was low enough to do what they called shorts. Tried the dies and they work like a champ.

Hey PlacitassSlim,
Did you buy them with the idea of loading the small .32 S&W?  I just want to be able to screw the seating ram down enough to seat a bullet in hte case.  Everyone one I talk to just don't have a good answer for this question.  I love this little pistol.  It is like greased lightening in side matches.

Hey Silver Creek Slim,
Thanks for the site, I didn't see that one.  That is a good price.  I may just buy it and try it.  ;)

I have a set of RCBS 32 Long and Mag dies. They will load 32 S&W. I do not crimp my 32 S&W's so I don't know if they will put the crimp in or not, but they will size and seat the bullets.

Know it ain't the answer yer lookin' for, LL, but I found fairly decent factory loads at a reasonable price.  They have just a little more recoil than Dig'em's custom stuff but not by much.  I figured no more than I shoot mine 'loadin' wasn't worth it.

I've got some of them layin' 'round somewhere.  If ya wanna try 'em let me know the next time ya think we'll get together and I'll bring 'em along.  Thinkin' Bob's still carries the things and I'm there regular.  Wouldn't be a thing to pick up a box when ya need 'em.

Bob's still has them Arcey, that's where I got the loads for mine!

Thanks for all the responses fellas.  I plan to load the holy black in these little firebrands, so I will need a set of dies.  I will probably go with the Lee dies.  I talked to Windy Beans, he sold me the sweet little thing, and he used the Lee dies (man. #90606).

That should get me ging in the right direction.

Never had such a hard time trying to get the right dies for a gun before.  ;)
