Well.............I guess that I was BS'ng when I should have been tightening the two screws on my slide between stages last Sunday. ;D  It cost me a light hit & a miss.  :'(  I hate to resort to Loctite but I think that I may have to as my slide screws loosen enough to cause light hits after about every 20 shots or so. What color should I use?

I used the 'Loctite Thread Locker BLUE 242 Removable'.  This is the Red colored tube.

I did this before I went to the NCOWS Nationals.  Did not have a single problem with the firing pin in 80 rounds.

Be careful, apply to only a small area of the screw nose/leading threads so that it does not bleed between the plate and interior plunger.  Someone had that happen to them and it locked the firing pin in the fully extended position.

My plate unscrewed easily for cleaning.

Thanks, B.R. Smith! I'll grab some ASAP!  ;)

A little tip here that works well for me with gun screws.  Use teflon plumbers tape as a thread blocker, it's easy to remove before reassembly and it won't accidenty spill in the gun box or get on finish.  The solvents in Lock-Tite will damage gun finishes and is also not good on your skin.

Heck is even much cheaper. ;)

I'd use either purple or blue threadlocker  ;D

Use sparingly & wipe-off excess from exterior surfaces.

If your feeling adventurous & innovative, try using Dento-tape dental floss as a substitute for plumber's tape.
