Two Flints

Hello SSS,

Following my request, I received the following photos of a Gemmer-Spencer and its catalog description from Mr. Gregory S. Grimes, President of the Trail Creek Trade Company located in St. Ann, Missouri.  His web site is located at the following link: http://www.trailcreektrade.com .   Enjoy the photos  ;D ;D ;D ;D   Two Flints

+ J. P. Gemmer Spencer Conversion - (Sn None Visible) - 56/52 Rim Fire with 30" octagon barrel. Classic full conversion with full under rib; two plain pipes for wiping rod; S. Hawken-type iron nose cap & entry pipe; double-keyed walnut forearm; crescent butt plate on walnut butt stock with beaver tail cheek piece; single set trigger; long bar adjustable rear sight; German silver front sight. Wiping rod was missing when I got the rifle, so we copied one of the original rods from one of my other Gemmers for a replacement. These are extremely rare rifles. There is, to my knowledge, only about 12-15 of these rifles still in existence. This one would rank in the top five, as far as configuration & condition go. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. Photos available upon request. $21,000
