It finally happened!

Well, after a long wait, I finally was able to order a Uberti Millenium today.   I'm having it transfered from a shop in Texas to a shop here in Vegas.  This is my first step in my quest of acquiring a full cas rig!   I ordered the gun today, Friday.  How long does it usually take for a gun to reach the local dealer?

Howdy! Provided the supplier has it in stock (on the shelf) and they get it out that day (the day you ordered it) you may get it to your FFL the next day (not likely) I thought all handguns must be shipped Next day delivery BUT, FFL dealers may be able to get around this. My guess give it a couple days unless the supplier doesn't have in stock then all bets are off. WBR

I always figure a week.  Had some dealings with some pards in Tejas last year, and that's about what it took.  Just my own experience.

Well, I hope it'll be here soon cuz man am I excited! One question though, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but: I've heard that the +P .45 lc loads are of to high a pressure for SAA's. If I were to use them in my revolver, how many could I shoot safely, for self defence and such? This has been on my mind lately and I was just wondering about it. Of course, I woulnd't do it if it weren't safe, of course; I ain't no fool. I know ruger's can do it just fine. Hmmm...

Don't take a chance injuring yourself or others, stick with the standard cowboy loads in your Uberti.  There are a number of standard pressure factory loads that would be suitable for use other than CAS.  Check out Winchester, Remington and Federal, and I seem to remember that Buffalo Bore ammunition company is making a standard pressure .45 LC with hollow-point/jacketed designs.

When in doubt don't take a chance, so If you aren't 100% sure that it's a cowboy loads don't drop the hammer on it w/ your Uberti.  Plenty of examples out there where folks have blown up their guns using someone else's homebrew/hot rod ammo that's inappropriate for the type of gun.

I got the E-mail last night that my gun was in and my dad and I went and picked it up.  Man was it worth the wait! It locks up tight, the trigger breaks smoothe, and now I can't wait to shoot it! I love hearing those clicks as I draw back the hammer. I brought it home and cleaned it real good, except for the barrel and cylinders cuz I don't have a bore brush that big yet! (I'll have to stop by Big 5 later today.) While we where there my dad also picked up a springfield XD .45 acp (don't tell my mom!)
