Has anyone had any experience good or bad with the shoulderstock for the Uberti 1860 44 Army?

Forty Rod

I've owned two.  Neither one worked without major refitting and I wouldn't bother.  Others may have had better luck since my last one in 1980, + or - a year.

I bought my first 1860 Army back in the late 70's, it was a Uberti made "Western Arms" which pre-dates Allen Firearms.  I bought it with both the rebated and full fluted cylinders, both numbered to the gun, and with a shoulder stock.  It fits just fine and I never had to make any adjustments other than round off the sharp edges on the brass part of the stock.

I haven't had it together for so long that I just dragged it out for the above photo ;D.  It's a lot of fun to shoot with the shoulder stock, and you'd be amazed how much it steadies the aim!
