Do you think the new vaquero can handle higher pressure loads, like the vaquero?  After comparing the two cylinders, there doesnt seem to be much meat left in the new vaquero's cylinder.  Just checkin  :)

Mine came with a typed insert in the box that said not to use reloads that were under higher loadings for Blackhawks in 45 LC caliber or sold as hot loads for 45 LC.   It also had a pressure level that was stated to be safe, but the slip of paper is 1400 miles away. I would guess that smaller calibers like the 357 should be OK.

The NRV shouldn't be loaded any hotter than standard factory loads,IE: SAAMI specs for the cartridge it's chambered for. THEY ARE NOT AS STRONG AS THE ORV'S, no Ruger only or TC only loads. Stick with data for the SAA's..........Buck 8) ::) :o :-\
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Thank you Mr. Buck.  You answered two of my posts very quickly, both in one night!  :)   I appreciate you sharing your experience with me.
Im not reloading yet, and when i do will be very careful to stick to the recomended loading data.  I just wanted to find out if i could shoot loads other than cowboy action loads in my NRV.
so much to learn.......this is fun!  :)
