Howdy all,
after five years of trying, my preaching has finally had some effect. It seems that The Nebraska Division of Travel and tourism has decided to target media ads to those folks who might actually be interested in Nebraska's history. Starting in March, print ads are appearing in "True West", "Wild West", "American Cowboy" "Midwest Living" and possibly other publications featuring photos of me at Scouts Rest Ranch in North Platte, Nebraska. When you see them, notice how me and the horse were "glistening". It was 105 degrees that day and we shot stills and videos for 10 hours. Take a look. Take care.

Congratulations!!!!   Hmmm.....let me see...you are William F. Cody, and Nebraska just got Concealed Carry.  You know you have to get one of those small semi-auto Savages, right?.....:)

Howdy O.T. and all,
actually, I already have 4 of 'em. I'll be one of the instructors when the law takes effect in January. I tend to think something of .40 or larger is more suitable. Cody did advertising for Savage, but in the same way I do advertising for vendors today. If  they give it to me free, I advocate it. if not I don't.

Great, I've been through NB 4 times. Last time I "discovered" N. Platte and Maxwell on my own. N.Platte has a great county museum. Lincoln was just a little much for me but it is close to Marysville KS, but that is for another post. Another thing I like about NE is train spoting. Lots of UP track out there. Next time I hope to see Omaha. UP's home town

Whats the law about bringong CB Pistol in state?

My Niece lives in Abilene KS and when I drive out there from N.CA I go 80 than south thru Marysville. No other connection just a real old time KS town. My Nieces brother inlaw was Mayor of Manchester, another interesting little burg, (mostly cuz no one wanted the job which involved rounding up THE stray dog or two) before he moved to Dickenson County and became a sheriff in Abilene. (NOT MARSHAL)  Like I said in my other post, I am also a train nut. Lots of track in Marysville also. I think the amount of cool shade trees there made me remember it. Was also about 105 deg. there.

Quincy, they just redid the tracks in Marysville, made two extremely large viaducts, one on the west side of town, one on the southside of town on U.S. 77.   Trains no longer run through town, but on high speed tracks on the west side, makes you wonder why they "condemended all those houses in the flood plain on the west side where the new high speed tracks are...  Next time your coming through south on 77, turn west on HWY 136 in Beatrice, headed about 25 miles west to Jantzen and then go south to Rock Creek Historical Park, it's a Oregon Trail road ranch where Wild Bill Hickok killed McCandles, the site has been rebuilt from a 1860's photograph, heck give me a call I'll meet you there... ;D

I've seen the TV ad just recently, on Discovery or History channel (maybe).  We have visited the Cody home and ranch at North Platte, very nice, I recommend it.
