Rob, My wife and I are going to take your advice and stay in Ottawa instead of Garnett. If her hip was better we would be camping for the four days...

Maj Matt, I would really like to be there, but I will not be making the trip, perhaps in May.  Anyone from the Cedar Rapids, IA; area want to head south to the balmy state of Kansas for the shoot then.  I would be willing to drive or share expenses. 

This weekend I will be going to McGregor IA to the Cowboy Jamborie, sponsored by River Juction.  A lot of great vendors (dealers) will be there, lots of period correct duds and my wife and her girlfriends like to go to feel the fabrics and the clothing. 

I like to go to "see the elephant", check out the dealers, Check out the folks all decked out and try and luck into a door prize.  Not any shooting going on but a good time will be had by all.

Bill, the motel in Garrnet when I stayed there wasn't a five star hotel, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, plus a couple of nice looking horses to greet you in the paddock on the other side of the driveway....

I'll be shooting with the S.A.S.S. club in Glenwood, IA this Sunday.  It's going to be the first match for my brother-in-law that I had mentioned way back when that is wanting to get into C.A.S.  He's looking forward to it and I'm looking forward to it maybe even more.
