OT: Mossberg 800A

[Four-Eyed Buck]

Anyone familiar with these. Am checking one out for an old neighbor whose husband has passed. Feel I have condition set, but need to know how to get the bolt out. Didn't see any kind of release when I looked it over. My BB says it's checkered, and this one is, but also has deer heads in with the checkering. Were these from the factory this way?.....Buck
