Well, I have a broken hand spring on my 1851 Colt cap and ball.  I see that VTI Gunparts has the part I need.  Does anyone have some good take down and put back together instructions for these guns?  I did not use any instructions to take it apart, just took out all screws, and the parts came out.  I figured the gun is already broken, I can't break it any worse.  I just want to make sure I put it back together right.  It doesn't LOOK too hard to be put back together, but one never knows.

I was suprised when only five parts came out from the internals.  There is something to be said about simple, well working designs.  I just don't know what that something to be said is, but something should be said.   :D :D ;D
