Received my Rifle last weekend, great looking, well finished, etc. The hammer was very loose and would not cock and the trigger would not move.  I took action apart and the problem was easy to spot-main spring brooken, all else looked OK. My question is how long should one expect to wait to hear back from Taylor Arms, I have sent two emails this week with no response. Any one with some experience with Taylor?

Thanks,

Alex

Alex,

If you are able to (not overseas) call them direct at their 540-722-2017 number, or click on Tuolumne Lawman's photo and contact him at his Email address or send him a PM.  He is usually able to get to Taylor's pretty quick.  Tell him the problem you are having contacting them.

One possibility or option is to register your firearm on the website.  That way they can verify that your request is factual and under warranty.  I did this when I had to send mine into them.

Sorry to hear about your problem.  I have had mine since July 2005 and that was not nor has been a problem with mine.  They were very responsive with my particular problem.  No problems since then.

I really like my Spencer 56/50.

Howdy,

Call 540-722-2017.  Ask for Tammy (Loy) the owner. Tell her you got it with a broken mainspring from the factory.  She should send you one right away.  Offer to send the broken one back.  Tell her I told you to call her.  Email is a lousey way to reach them.  I always call.

Thanks for the response, I sure will call Taylor, in two weeks no response to email. I see no reason why they do not respond to email. In our business we respond to 20/30 emails each day. I find it much quicker and very easy as compared to picking up the phone????

With the proliferation of viruses, many buisnesses now avoid answering e-mails unless the sender is known.  In addition, a buisness like Taylors may recieve several thousand e-mails a day, many being spam and solicitations.

One thing for sure, when I EMAILED Taylor about buying a Spencer, they sure answered that in a hurry. One must wonder??

Yea! there must be a gun God, I received email from Tayor's today telling me to send in part and they will replace. I guess they do read their emails.
