I have an old Winchester '92 saddle ring carbine in .32-20 caliber that briskly throws about 85% of the empties clear.  The remaining 15% stay in the chamber and have to be pryed out.  Do I need to replace the extractor on this gun, or what?
Thanks in advance,

Stop puttin' so much BP in them  ;D
Look at the extractor - If it is worn a little, a touch with a file to re-do the hook
might work.  Also, the extractor area may be crudded up or the spring a little
weak.  If you order a new extractor, get a new spring too  ---  It don't cost much
when one adds the shipping charges.

You got me thinkin'.....  It looks like the extractor IS the spring so it may just be crud under it or wear.  Also, the ejector does have a spring and maybe it is a little weak.  It has been my experience that a worn or weak extractor causes your problem because the extractor won't hang on to the rim.

Thanks, Mike, I'll take a look at the hook and remove the extractor to clean under it as soon as I get my back into shape again.  Have you got a holster fer yer new Buntline?

Naaaa -- I just let the barrel hang out like God intended  ;D

12" of iron looks good in a 7 1/2 " holster !!  You'll love it.

I was lookin' for a shoulder stock but it may not be legal  >:(
