While as a "Single Action Specialist" I do not subscribe to the "race groove" theory, as I believe in getting the timing perfect thus eliminating the ugly wear groove that they get when not timed correctly.

Other than that, I highly recommend USFA pistols.

I ordered a consecutive pair of .45LC Rodeos with the race groove action job (I guess I should've talked to Rawhide first  :( ).

I'm still waiting for the second gun to arrive but I love the gun. Fit, finish, function, etc. are excellent.

I like them enough to start saving up for a couple of their high end pistols.

Great stuff! Highly recommended.

Now I am saving to buy my second one.

The race groove may be an idea for some, but I like the traditional look.  Rodeos are well timed out the box, and a true SAA feel is having the timing so correct that there is no turn line.  All of my USFA SAA's are very well timed right out of the box.  That dreaded turn line which has become a standard feature on Smiths and Rugers is a warning sign on a SAA.  For my Rodeo, a little stoning on the action buttered things up and created a $1000 sixgun for just $550.  I have shot well over 3000 rounds through it and still have no turn line.  I let an old "Colt" friend handle it.  He not only said some very nice things about it, but it was a long time before he would give it back.  I knew he was hooked when I was putting it away and his eyes were following it!
