Professor, do you have any more of those small ring Mauser stocks? If so, could I grovel about acquiring one from you?

My Dear Deacon

FIRST LOOK HERE

https://centerfiresystems.com/swedish-mauser-m96-rifle-hardwood-stock/
They have some as cheap as I paid, and they can probly ship cheaper than me.

If you dont like the above
Please stand by! I will have to go to the old house and the old shop and start looking!
I may be willing to let the pictured one go, since it would be as easy to carve a stock
Out of one of my blanks if i wont have to fill in the magazine well space artistically....

I have the house rented to my friend and handyman, and we are slowly moving my shop stuff over as we clear out Mrs Marvels stored goodies to "new space" .

My friend suggested to SWMBO that we could easily put up a 4 season carport for the cars and turn the climate controlled 2.5 car garage into HER art/craft storage which she can readily access by the purchased but not yet installed stair chair. she jumped at it to my delight.
Which will give me back my new huge shop.
After we finish the veggy garden project.

Our fortunate hero appears to me to be using one of those California rifles we were talking about a few weeks ago.  Does it look that way to anyone else?

hard to say definitively.
full screen on slo-mo I saw it is a
long-barreled, shorter-than-half-stock, looks like a pewter ramrod bolster,
single barrel key, crescent buttplate, fancy brass transitional trigger guard, "higher" rear sight, perhaps full buckhorn.
But cannot see the lock or the hammer.
Did not see him prime the piece, so we don't know if its flint or percussion.

If it had been a "fur trade era" show, he would have dropped the rifle and pulled his flint pistol.

Tried to determine the NDN gun, but too blurry.

I think it was in Across the Wide Missouri with Clark Gable.

If this is the same gun, it's percussion.  IF.

Yeah!  paid well too... enough that he bought an Island and had guests come to fulfill their Fantasies.

Drove around in very nice cars with 'rich, Corinthian leather' too. Made from well off corinthian cows I guess.

We've kinda drifted of away from Professor Marvel's projects.

I've dabbled with a few myself and it's a satisfying pursuit  :)

:) REALLY??  :D

I've just been wandering around the local Butcher shops trying to score some of that flash  Corinthian Leather for a new Vest.  Really hard to come by these days.  Seems the Corinthians are hiding their cows better  :P

While not all cas projects I have been messing with my 1917a1 BMG gas gun build and have started yet another. A MG34 built from the remains of my AR/Thompson. Been accumulating bits and bobs. Hoping to get the MG34 butt done this week. This is the 1917/1928 top cover with my homemade windage screw that needs threads. Waiting on a 1/2x14 tpi die.

I wish I could see your visions....
I'd like to mock-up look-a-like of a MG 34, for my Man cave- loading room...
It wound be a non-firing wall hanger.
Denix makes an acceptable full-size replica but over $350  :(
