Hello
Did the Spencer factory make any sporter carbines. I have seen the rifles but no carbines. Pictured is my new addition to my collection. Barrrl is 22 inches in 56/56 caliber. Carving sling bar removed.  No sling stud in buttstock. Forend has pewter Forend tip as the sporter rifles do. Do you all think a factory piece or later conversion. Thank you Jim

How about a closeup of the disk???? on the buttstock?  What is that?

Just a decorative piece someone added.

 Jim,

Do you have a photo of the left side of the frame?
Thanks.
My best,

The nose cap and band look like they came from a Spencer rifle. How long is the barrel, measured from the front face of the breechblock? Is it 52 caliber or 46? Could you post pictures of the sights?

More pics. Barrel is 22 inches. 52 caliber.

Looks like a standard carbine that has had some "customization". Definitely not a Spencer sporter, just an honest working gun.
