Gentlemen,  I think this has been addressed before, but is anyone using aluminum gas checks instead of copper?  If so, any difference in performance?  Need some .30 caliber checks and thought I'd check before I order.

All I've used for years.  https://www.sagesoutdoors.com/   The only difference I've noted is that they're cheaper.

What calibers do you use them on?  I need some in .30, but I'll eventually need some in .45 for the .45-60 and .45-70 bullets, too.

I doubt you'll notice any difference unless you're doing some serious bench rest shooting. I've only used the .30 cal, so far. They also have copper, if you prefer.

Hi, I was going to ask more questions, but I did notice that 1000 aluminum checks weighs a lot less than 1000 of the copper ones.  I have 2000 copper and 1000 Aluminum.  I think I"ll use the Aluminum ones on the Carbine.  I intend to use it for jacketed most of the time anyway.

I have asked before, but stumbled across this the other day...
