I just bought a Armi Sports Spencer in 56-50 and I hand loaded the rounds using Lyman's Dies and Starline 56-50 brass.

Now I load one round and try to run the lever to load the round but the damn round won't go inside the chamber :(

I am very new to Spencer and 56-50 round and any advice or suggestions will be helpful

I called Taylor and there customer service pointed me to Chiappa.
This gun as per the person I have bought the gun from, have never been fired so I am wondering what's going on.

Have you tried working the lever extremely hard and fast? I know it sounds counter intuitive bit try slamming it

Will the round drop into the chamber directly, or is it too large? I started with Lyman dies and the sizing die was over-sized. It would size the case small enough to work, but even with a hard crimp, the bullet would spin freely in the case. Bullet shape and overall cartridge length play a big part in feeding as well. As noted, being too gentle with the action can induce problems as well.
