Widdermatic 1894 owners?

Curious about the Widdermatic modification to the 1894 Marlin. Look pretty neat. Are there any shooters here who have this mod? What do you think or is this old school and not done anymore? Typing widdermatic in search pulls up nothing? Trying to have an alternative to only using schofield in my '94 Trapper. I have a spare carrier that I'll whittle on.
