Is AZSA still going? I tried the web site but couldn't get in. I know there is a Facebook page. I'm trying to get some of links that were on the web site.

I'm not "Da Boss a Bosses," but I don't believe so.

John Smith ( the guy who took over after Steve retired) told me that after he had had to cancel the last 2 World Championships for lack of participation that he was tired of beating his head on a wall and wouldn't try to do another one.  :'(

I have mentioned Zoot at our club but not gotten any feedback from members. And we have a much wider palette of matches than any club around. The next time that a 2 inch snubnose revolver is also included as a pistol requirement I'll bring it up again. Here I am in my fedora and pinstripes, 'take that you dirty rats'. Maybe if I make my 1928 part of a couple stages there will be some interest.

It sounds like your local club is a lot like our local club. If you bring it and it shoots lead bullets we'll let you shoot it. We started out as an unaffiliated SASS type club, but now folks shoot Zoot sometimes, GAF sometimes and our stage setups are more like NCOWS or GAF

Being a sass [unaffiliated]/ WASA club allows us to be whatever we want to do and setting up stages that will work with SA shooters along with whatever off the wall stuff we are also doing keeps everyone happy and safe.

Yep, that's pretty much where we're at

This is really bad news. I always wanted to go to Colorado for the National Shoot, but couldn't make it! What's the status of the web site? There were some links on there I would have liked to copied down. I guess it's going to have to be a grass roots operation from now on. Start your own program, and if enough do that, maybe a National Program can again come from that.

Good luck all!

Major 2

Never even got a still birth start here , WB was a bit more of a flash in the pan, with just two matches, then one Cowboy match with 6th stage WB ...then NADA ...same reason one or two sparkplugs tried , little interest and they quit beating the heads & drums...
Sadly, I tried to get NCOWS going held 6 or 7 matches ....and the last couple only 3-4 guys showed .
I decided to fold , ... there is about 4 posse' member left.... depleted by age, illness or deceased   :(

SASS however is alive & well, any weekend , some where statewide , however even that has dwindled some, blame Covid
and range closings or cut backs

I have travel out of State to shoot NCOWS ....  I don't shoot SASS haven't in 10-11 years

I keep dreaming to do a Muster or a BAMM match ...but neither are within 800 miles the Grand Muster is near 1700 miles
when planets align...do the deal !

Hi
I'm looking forward to NCOWS because I won't be touching the targets with the muzzle.  We have SASS at OKC Gun Club, but its a speed match with Mouse Fart .38s.  I would have wasted primers 3 years ago, but not at $70 a thousand.

That's the reason I stopped attending a 40 mile away clubs WB match. Targets way too close. I was shooting duelist and beating two handed shooters. Where's the challenge in that? Primers are too precious to blow through that way.
