So whats YOUR next gun gonna be (rifle, pistol, shotty) and why? For me its gonna be a Cimarron model p 4 3/4in CC old frame in 357. Economy of ammo is the main reason. I'll be shooting 38LC in it exclusivly and 20$ for 500 bullets is hard to beat. I wish they offerd a 38LC cylinder for it but owell. I plan on getting a progressive press just for it, and plan on doing alot of one handed and left handed shooting with it( maybe someday I'll learn how). What about you all? Whats next and why?

I've been waiting to see the real world results with the new Taurus Thunderbolt pump action rifle. Its a good price and I don't have one (that's my reason). I do want to see some more detailed match shooting results first though.

My next new gun is gonna be the IAC reproduction of the model 87 Winchester lever action shotgun.  It will be in 12 ga and I am gonna have Coyote Cap install the Winchoke system in the barrel.  Why do I want this gun well thats easy.  I have always wanted a lever action shotgun and through Coyote Cap they are very reasonably price so.  I want it I am gonna get it.  Cause Santa aint bringing it to me. ;D

I suppose I'll need to round up one of those Beretta Model 3's. I really don't have anything like that yet.

My beloved and I just bought a house, so I think my next gun is going to be for caulking.  ;)

Seriously, while I am interested in the Coyote Cap 1887 and the Taurus Thunderbolt, I think I am going to save up for this one:

I've always wanted one and I can't see any reason not to get one.

Well, I just took delivery of a 1874 Sharps (Italian) 45-70.  I ordered the 'heavy barrel target model' with the vernier and globe sights.  I loaded up some Goex FFG under 405 grain Meister boolits and took it out in the driving rain to check it out.  At 50 yards, after bore sighting had the first round in the 9 ring at 3:00 o'clock.  Drifted the globe front sight to the right a bit and put the next five in the 1 1/2" X ring.  These rifles are just impressive.  Wanted one for 15 years.  Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas Willie!

If I knew how, I would post a copy of the target.  This rifle is just plain perfect!

I'm jealous of you Prof. Wickwire, but I once shot the real one and got paid to do it.

Big John,

Don't be jealous yet, I still have to save up for and purchase this special item.

Also, my beloved has told me that once we are settled in the house, I can get a cannon for the lawn!

I'll have to ask Calamity Jane how much it would cost to make me one.

Sincerely,

Prof. A. Wickwire

Heck, just drive to a county seat a few couties over and drag one away from in front of the courthouse. Won't cost you nothing but time. Prison time that is, if you get caught.

I am #46 on Caps 1887 which is comming soon. 8)

I have put an order on a Thunderbolt in .357, but that won't come in for a while. :(

But I have a very great need(?) for an Uberti Scholfield in .44wcf.   ::)

That is what I may buy with any Christmas money I may get. ;D

But then there is that Colt Open Top.................................... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I'm #220 on Cap's 87WCSE list.  I think that puts me around Feb/Mar for delivery.  That'll probably be my next gun purchase.  As for what's next on my "Gotta Have It" list.....a long-range Sharps-type buffalo rifle in .45-70 would be nice.

litl rooster

I'm one of those on the Coyote Cap list also, already have 3 CAS shotty's and only 1 rifle. Better add a rifle to the list also......something that will hold up to the "Holy Black" ;D
