That is a beautiful gun.  Couldn't tell how shiny it was from previous pics.  I would assume it was refinished at some point.  It doesn't look like any crimp on the end of your brass shells, but they still seem to feed pretty well, with maybe a tiny hitch.  The audio of the shots is pretty good, you can hear the boom.  A lot of modern video cameras with automatic level control for audio will clamp down on gunshots and make them just sound like pops.

Thanks. Yeah I imagine it has been redone at some point. Looks like it was a long time ago though as there are some wear spots but overall excellent condition.

No crimp. I ended up doing the powder, over powder card, two fiber wads, shot and overshot card topped off with embers glue. They all held up very nicely. No issues whatsoever. They cycle pretty good. Sometimes I would lose the lever with my hand but it was mostly just my own fault. Every now and the. One will catch slightly as it enters the chamber. I'm very please overall. Fun to shoot, fun making the shells and I really love the look and feel of the 87. Thanks for watching.

A glove on your hand that holds the forearm is nice to have if you are doing a lot of shooting, like maybe a round of trap.  Your fingers will thank you!  Does yours have two extractors?

For sure! That barrel gets pretty hot. Mine is the 87 with one extractor. The 1901 has the double extractors I believe.
