There are a number of commercial made portable shooting benches and a surf of You Tube will net a good number of home made designs...
I even drew up a plan for one that uses steel folding table legs and T shaped Plywood top....

I kept putting it off , as commercial made were pricy and I knew a Plywood shooting table would be heavy.
I wanted something inexpensive, easily portable and simple to set up , light but sturdy....
for my home gallery use.

He is my current option:

It is a Black and Decker Workmate 125  cost 25 bucks on Amazon ( BTW Harbor Freight has a knockoff for same price and with coupons some less )

The B&D is sturdy , folds and is easy portable .

I had a Amazon gift card so I ordered the B&D .
A piece of 2x4 cut to length is clamped in the jaws
The 2x4 cross block is screwed and glued down to the clamped in 2x4.
The cross block serves as slip over mount for the rubber Pistol steady perch,
and it serves as a chock for Caldwell Rifle pads

Total cost  $29 ( B&D + tax shipped free )
I found the Rubber wheel chock on the side of the road
2x4 was some off cut scrap
I had the Caldwell shooting pads for several years and used them at Range tables.

Works like a champ
