I've never been able to view a Thuer revolver up close. This video helped.

Pretty interesting revolver. Its in great condition also.

I had never really got to see how they really work up close so the video did explain them pretty well. Thanks for sharing.

The Thuer is my unicorn. A revolver I'll probably never be able to acquire. Karl Nedbal in Germany made beautiful conversions on the Belgian Centaur 1860 but he's now retired. Uberti mad a few prototypes but it didn't go into production.
A lot of what is taken for engineering fact, if you dig into it far enough, is often just someone's opinion.

The good news: Karl Nedbal is currently pretty busy again, thanks G.
He does a small batch of .45 Colt conversions of ASM Walkers - replication of the CT State Library Walker and Long Cylinder Conversions with loading gate - and ASM 2nd Model Dragoons to Tucker & Sherrards with a separate conversion ring.

Uberti and Pietta should take some manufacturing pointers from him in the production of historical conversions.

I "could" agree, except, for the most part, re-introducing 19th century conversions in reproduction form, isn't real cost effective.  Takes a lot of investment to make 'em the way they use to.  The potential market isn't large enough to amortize that huge investment.

"One Off" cottage production isn't real cost effective either.  Trust me, true to form conversions are NOT inexpensive to build.  Bring yer Broker you betcha.
