One piece grips

I need new one piece grips for my Uberti/Cimarron model P.
I ordered a set from Cimarron (which only come prefinished) with the understanding that if they were oversize I would have to fit them and if they were undersize I would be out of luck. Well, they were too small and I'm shipping them back today for a refund.
Everything on the Uberti site is out of stock so that's a bust.
Any ideas?
I'm not looking for anything fancy and they don't have to be perfect. Ideally just a wood factory grip that I can fit and refinish, but I'm open to something like faux ivory too.

These all come as a kit that you have to put together and fit to your gun. Just make sure the grips fit your gun before altering. You can't return them if they have been altered.

Not from them per say but a set I found on the big auction site eBxx. They were just like theirs in faux ivory. I did them for one of my USFA revolvers.

Yeah, all you need to find is the right material.  Oh yeah, and then you need the right tools, time, and talent.   And patience.  I guess that is part of "time".

You make it sound hard!
Tools, a coping saw will do, a half round file for shaping, a clamp of some type, a flat place to lay sand paper on to flatten the wood, an exacto knife and Tru-Oil.
Time, It's not a timed event so an hour here and there till done.
Talent, I layed it all out step by step. If An old man like me can do it then it must be easy!
Patience, isn't that what doctors have?

Of course, you are right.  Let me rephrase my post:

I am too lazy to do that.   

Sometimes I'm happy to pay for and admire someone else's work rather than my own.

I have always wondered how it is that you talented, patient people fit any grip closely to the frame without damaging the finish?

Photos and videos I've seen of folks making one-piece stocks shows them taking off the finish on the back-strap and trigger guard to get a perfect fit, then casually add that those parts will have to be re-finished.  Sorry but my simple gun room doesn't have the stuff to do an "armory blue" on the back end of my USFA single actions, even after I learn all the skill and patience it would take to make a decent set of grips.

I've contemplated making my own grips and if I ever do, I wouldn't even consider removing the existing finish on the gun. I'd trace the trigger guard and backstrap onto the grip material, remove from gun and then begin to sand/file to that line, regularly putting it back in place to check the fit until it was dead on.

Dave t , I don't refinish the guns either. I can reblue or color case harden but I'm to lazy.
