Aloha ....from the sunny state of New York. Just started to get interested in CASS and the virus put a halt to everything. This sport looks like it will revive the 11 yr old in me, it's a HOOT. I'm starting out slow, as I have just 1 1871 Navy Colt and no long guns, but looking to see if there is a club nearby. I did notice the Regulators up in NE Ohio. I am amazed at all the info and links contained on this site, as all have been helpful. I have a good start at reloading as I do .38, .45, .9mm, and 30-06 and stitched up my 1st holster to keep my brain busy.........just waiting for no pause!

Howdy! New here myself. Collecting all this 19th century repro stuff is still expensive. Workin' on outfits and the guns myself. I'm eyin' a couple pistols to spend some tax money on myself.

When my wife and I first got into the cowboy action thing, I thought that acquiring the period correct weaponry would be the expensive part. Of course fully one half of the fun is wearing period correct clothing, and pretty soon the value of our costuming exceeded the value of our guns, so we are compensating by buying more guns. And a new hat, and a new vest, and another new gun, and, and.

Welcome to all of you. As a relatively new active shooter I would recommend starting with used leather and if you can, Ruger Vaqueros, as they seem to be the most trouble free pistols. Merry Christmas and shoot safe!
