john gren colt cartridge conversion

looking for any info on john gren conversions, as i'm looking to buy one that was supposedly built off of a 1st gen colt? did he even bid them from 1st gen, or were they all 2nd gen models. i have one picture, which i will try and post. any help is greatly appreciated, mike !!

Mike, I have one built off an ASM 1860, and have seen a couple built off of 2nd gen Colts, but have not heard of one built on a 1st. Of course with John and in the time frame he made them, I wouldn't discount him doing some. Any help I can give I will try, waiting to see pics.
