MikeM.

Can somebody please tell me if there is a book or something somewhere that has a good pattern for a simple Mexican double  loop holster in it?? Or, better yet, does anybody have one that they might share with me?? Not trying to do it for a living or anything, just wanting to try my hand at making some stuff. I have tried and tried to make my own pattern but can't seem to get it done.

I reposted it in the leather forum   won't hurt to have it in both threads

You might want to get or at least look at Packing Iron

I second Major2's suggestion for Will Ghormley patterns.  Buy off his website or try looking at Tandy Leather shops in your area, they did carry them at one time.

I've always just made my own. Trace a gun or an original holster and make pattern out of shirt boxes or file folders.

That said buying Will Gormleys pattern pack is really good advice. Not only because Will offers really nice patterns but also because it gives you a place to start. I've found making a new pattern is much easier once you have a bunch of others that you know fits a certain gun that you can modify or use as a guide.
