I am getting back into CAS and love 1851 Navy's...I have a new Uberti and a Pietta that is about 20 yrs old. My wife decided that since I am getting back into it, I should have a fancy revolver. She researched gold Damascene and since we have a Cerakote business (and can't afford gold leaf) she worked on putting a design on the Pietta, then I cerakoted it and replaced all the springs, hardware and replaced the old cones. Now I am afraid to shoot it, but it looks much fancier!

Looks good to me!  I am thinking a fancy set of one piece faux ivory grips would really set the metal treatment off. Just my 2 cents worth.

Oh I absolutaly agree with you on that...I am trying to find the best Grip company as we speak!

Dang! That is one fancy and beautiful Navy. Reminds me of seeing the Damascene offered by DGW I think it was back in the early 70's, I believe they had them done in India? Don't remember ever seeing one in person, but they were awful fancy. Would love to find out how it holds up to shooting if you ever do.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I recommend Gripmaker's grips.

Oh Icky Foo.  Sorry to dissent guys and gals, but to me the gold and cerakote do not compliment each other.  To me would much more astecally pleasing were it plain Blue under the gold treatment.

A nice set of faux ivory grips would help though.  The wood just doesn't look "right" somehow.  Just my Opine.  No offense meant.
