Just watched Last Stand at Saber River again, since I am getting a Kirst gated Saber River engraved gated conversions and ejector rod set for my 8" 1860.

Oh MY!  Tom Selleck, 1860 Henry rifles (with the magazines loaded, according to the follower position), 1860 cartridge conversions, and 1860 Spencers, with Blakeslee Boxes, even!  Wow!

Bernie, the revolver was built by Kenny Howell who built always builds Tom Selleck's guns. I actually shot that gun once.

Last Stand at Saber River is one of my favorites.

I made some grips out of Corian for a Richards Transition to try and simulate Cable's revolver. I had the checkering done for me.

I watched it again myself yesterday.  Here's a piece of speculation. has anyone else noticed the long-barreled Sharps rifle leaning against the wall by the door inside the gunsmith shop? You can see it when the fellow comes in to pick up his converted revolver. I wonder if it is one of the Quigley rifles.

Either way, from a gun standpoint, that is a very cool movie.
