It will be a couple of weeks before I pick it up, but a Winchester 95 SRC in 7.62. The sn tracks to production in 1916. The clip guides are gone, but can see where the screws attached them. I know it has to be a chopped musket, can't find anything on the Russian contract that included carbines.
Will bring it for show & tell to Grand Muster.

Ooohhh.... ;D  That is cool.  I think the stripper clip guides show up on occasion on Ebay.  I would also post a WTB on Gunboards.  I think it would be cool to shoot it in a match with stripper clips.

Finally, got my hands on it today, picture doesn?t do it justice. Looks too good to be original, if refinished, it is good. Beautiful for a 103 year old gun. At 399xxx, puts it outside of the Russian contract. Will bring it to Muster.
