Was going to order some pro oil dye in walnut, but the shipping was twice as much as the dye, so I got some feibings leather stain instead. Never used it. What am I getting into? Does it go on like dye?

Marshal Will Wingam

I've never used it. Is it water or alcohol based? Try it on a sample or two and let us know how it works. It might be a good product.

Must be water base. Says in the SLC catalog do not freeze. Girl there told me it is more transparent than dye.

Marshal Will Wingam

Thanks. I look forward to hearing how you like it.

I use to use  Feibings leather stain, it is alcohol base.  I would thin it with alcohol and fould it worked best if you did light application to work up to the desired darkness, out of the bottle it was easy to be to dark for my taste.

I think they make a water base for Tandy too.
when planets align...do the deal !
