Just bought 5 lbs of Swiss 1-1/2. Total including taxes - $244.61 !!!  :o Picked up by a friend so no shipping or hazardous goods fee.

I was quite happy with Goex Cartridge. This stuff had better be worth it.

Can you find Goex Olde Eynsford?  Much cheaper here south of the 49th than Swiss and performs as well.

If you figure the difference in the two currencies it is probably not a lot more than we pay here in the States.

I get mine from Raynershine in Saskatchewan, PJ.   It costs $40/ pound and so far, I haven't had to ship it.

You paid $48.92 per pound.  That's $36.76 USD.  How does that compare, pards?

For BPCR, I really like it.  It's chief advantage over GOEX is fouling control.  But you're likely wasting your money, or I am.  I can't seem to beat you anyway.

Swiss 1½ Fg is running $31.03 US at Buffalo Arms.  S&H and Hazmat are extra.  They will mix to make a 25 pound case.

The Canuck Buck is currently around .76 to the USD. My source was Rusty Wood's Trading Co., known for high prices.

Gabriel Law - How are you getting powder from Saskabush and avoiding Hazmat costs?

As for fouling control, I recall both of us having fouling issues (I shot Goex Cartridge) last summer at Williams Lake due to the hot, dry conditions. You had to load me your chamber brush and you had to wipe between shots.

I gotta get my rear in gear and cast up some bullets if I'm gonna shoot much this year with my BPCRs.

Yre buyin Swiss for about the same dollars as we get quoted for Wano - I called all over the place yesterday could not find a can of Swiss
Sold a kilo of Wano PPP to a mate last year for 60 bucks (had used ten 44/40 loads outa it) surplus to requirements at the time - I now get it why he pulled his wallet out so fast.  :)

So are you saying that I should just quit whining and get to reloading?  :-X

I have to admit that since I enjoy my BP rifles, I'd pay whatever was the going rate.

PJ:  Ray and his wife were traveling to Edmonton and brought the powder with them by arrangement.  My buddy Ron went to Edmonton for a job he had to finish and received the powder without shipping costs.  I helped him out a bit with his gas costs to Edmonton.
But I intend to try GOEX 1Fg this spring, so I'll have a report to prepare too it seems.

Guess I'm lucky here in the Midwest, I bought some Swiss for $24.50 plus 6.75% tax

I just purchased a case of Olde Eynsford for US$19.90 per pound, including shipping and Hazmat from Powder Inc.  They did announce a coming price increase, so dont' know how much that will be.

I shoot an entire gong match (about 30 rounds including sighters) with just a blow tube and no cleaning between relays.  Still shooting bullseyes at the end and clean the bore with 4 or 5 patches.  I don't see how you can get much better than that.
