Will a 56-50 round fit into a 56-56 chamber?

Hello:

Yes, the bores are different, but perhaps the case dimensions will enable interchangeability, accuracy aside.
I have asked a couple people who should know and they said they never tried it because of the smaller 56-50 bullet in the .54 bore of the 56-56.
So, does anyone have first-hand experience with this, please and can share the results?
Many thanks,

Yes a 56-50 round will chamber in a 56-56 and vice versa. It will not shoot worth a damn though. ( had a mix up a couple of weeks ago. The round went low left and key-holed.)
The 56-50 bullet is way to small. I read somewhere that with the 56-50 , you can shoot 56-56, 56-52 or 56-50 rounds with no problem , but you should only use 56-56 ammo in a 56-56.

Big help.
Wanted more than my limited experience.
Accuracy aspect makes sense.
It seems to me that since the 56-56 has a larger bore/ diamter bullet, a 56-56 would chamber, but be too LARGE in a 56-50 BORE.

With my 56-56 and 56-50, the 56-50 will chamber in the 56-56, but not vise-versa. I made that mistake once at an N-SSA match and suddenly had a jammed carbine and a lot less ammo than I thought I had.
