I just received a Dillon 550 frame to upgrade my old 450. In order to do so, you have to remove the link pins and they give you a cut off nail(!) to do the job.

Yeah - right ..... The nail bent quickly because you really have to pound on it, and nothing budged. I believe that they must have been pressed in at the factory and that it might be necessary to press them out.

Anybody been there - done that?

Had to resort to the use of a friend's hydraulic press to remove the link pins from the 450 frame without damage to the frame or pins.

The tool (nail) Dillon sends you is useless as the pins are pressed in at the factory.

Anybody got use for a serviceable 450 frame?
