I recently purchased a navy arms 1873 saa, and i only shot it twice. Both times after firing, it will drag the casing and even on one case it dimpled the "5" on "45". But after firing it the second time, something broke within it. The cylinder spins freely both ways on half cock and it also doesn't rotate by the hand. Any help would be appreciated.

Fingers McGee

Broken hand spring causing the non rotation.  Possibly a burr on the recoil shield causing the dragging

Agree on the probable broken hand spring.  Usually if this is the case the cylinder will turn if you aim the gun down and cock it.
