Could anybody tell me which generation colt eagle grips would work on a Pietta GW II? I see most places that carry them have all 3, some have 1st, and the other fits 2nd or third.

Unless you get extremely lucky ..... None.  Single Action grips are fit to the specific gun.  Not model or generation.  The Specific gun.  So it will be a crap shoot.  Whatever you decide on, plan on some fitting.

Coffinmaker-- Thanks for the reply. I realize there will be fitting involved. Guess I should have asked if there is a difference in size of the three generations. If so, which would work better?
