Could someone tell me exactly what the difference is between these two? Is it just the springs and grip, or is there more? Can I buy a Cattleman and replace the springs with Wolff and have an El Patro minus the checkered grip?

Jefro

Yes you will have basiclly the same gun. However most of us prefer the Lee Gunslinger spring kits over the Wolff, and I prefer the full size grips over the thinner checkered ones. Good Luck

Jefro - Thanks! Where do I get Lee Gunslinger springs? I also don't like the thinner grips. That is why I was wondering what all the differences were. I'm about to trade for a Cattleman and I thought I would at least change the springs.

I actually just bought an new in the box cattleman in 5.5" barrel. I thought I would need a spring kit but it feels as good as my ASM with the spring kit installed. Mine has been fine out of the box period. Now I am with NCOWS and not SASS so speed isn't as big a deal but either way I did do quick draw years ago and it would also work fine for that also.
