This is amazing!! A couple of "cornpone" backwoods gunsmiths built this ingenious cap 'n ball!! The cylinder stop (bolt) system is fiendishly simple and bulletproof!! The idea of the exterior hand is great as well!! This is surely a design that if offered in a different period would have had "legs"!! No funky hammer cams, no bending bolt legs or silly little springs. Such are the twists of fate!! Enjoy:

Interesting design and functioning. Like the grips also. I like that website, they have some interesting firearms, both rare and ones that were once or are of everyday use.

That is neat.  First time I have ever heard of let alone see one of these.  Only one.  I wonder how much it sold for?

... I wonder how much it sold for?

On that Youtube page, below the video, it says it sold for $253,000.   :o  Kind of hard to believe!

I wonder if Uberti or Pietta will be tooling up to make them?  ;)

Would like to handle one...so, gonna have to keep an eye on the local auction house.

Just from what I'm seeing in the video, I'm not getting good vibes about this revolver action operating as well as a Starr DA...but, I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.
