I picked up this little fella today. Marked The Guardian American 1878 on the cylinder. I've tried to research it some, but all the ones I've find online were pinfire, whereas this one appears to be for rimfire, as the cylinder lacks the notches on the pinfire versions. I know pinfire was falling out of favor in the US by 1878 (was it ever really in favor?), so I imagine it's not particularly rare, just something of note. I believe the cylinder is original to the gun as opposed to a conversion, as it has matching maker's marks.

Belgian proof mark, but I don't know much else about it, aside from the fact that's dainty. Possibly used by mice for drive-by shootings. This one is too loose to try and shoot it, but it's a nice conversation piece.
