Shooting traditional, 2nd hand as support, or at side or behind back?
Thanks

I dont play this particular game - just shoot a bit when and where I can - if you let me put my second hand on my pistol I am gonna hold and trigger with my right and cockit wid me left thumb - I am gonna believe I can go much faster doin that and still hit - policing that second hand just as support would be difficult -- I shoot single actions and cap and ball guns at regular pistol club - the only feller there crazy enough to own a gun you have to cock before you fire it.  The boys are quite friendly so they are ok with me doing the two hand thing when we hit the rapid fire part of a match (my Ruger single six I can at least get my five away in time that way)

For my money if you gonna call it traditional - that should be one hand - two hands is open - position of the second hand in traditional would be nit picking just keep it off the gun ---- what would I know ? I dont get a vote so this post has no value whatsoever!!!!

If I'm shootin my SAs(seldom) or DAs then my left arm is tight across my chest but ready to receive the revolver from my strong hand and drop it into my crossdraw holster as soon as I'm done shooting it. If I'm shootin my 1911 then the weak hand is going for a loaded mag as soon as it has racked the slide. Traditional is duelist imo. Open is whatever you want to do.

I believe the left hand to be anywhere but touching the gun. Bracing off of it, I would
say no, IMHO. But a good question, and hopefully we'll hear from our judge
