I've got all my stuff done for the originals class. I'm going to be a
buffalo hunter in 1875, in the Texas panhandle. With the help of
the panhandle plains museum I got a picture that is the basis of
my presentation. I documented 3 guns, a Sharp's big fifty, a "new"
73 Winchester, and a 51 navy conversion shooting heeled bullets.
Of course I'll just be using the last 2 at the shoot. Should be fun.

I think that all of the "Originals" for the National Match should meet at the Primitive camp to do their peer reviews, after shooting on Friday.

I also would like to invite anyone who might be interested in the "Originals" concept to attend.  This will give them an opportunity to see what else is involved other than shooting.  It might be of particular interest to those shooters who use a one hand hold and smokeless powder.  It can be like one of our Convention Seminars.

Since smokeless powder was available in the mid 1890s, an "Originals" character from that time could use smokeless.  I will be shooting "Originals" as an 1898 Railroad Detective.  I'll be using a 1892 take-down short rifle and an 1875 Remington.  Both are .44-40 and smokeless ammo is available in that caliber from the 1897 Sears Roebuck catalog.

Attached is the picture Beartooth Billy made for his presentation. Awesome job!
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself
