open top cracked barrels

I read on another site that the 45 colt open tops, the new ones, the Companies have fixed the problem? Any thoughts , I have about 600 45 Schofield  Black powder loads & would like to have an open top to shoot them.Thanks & Happy Trails

Open Top Barrel cracking in .45 Chambered guns is "old news."  There have been no reports of Barrel cracking in any of the .45 Open Tops for several (many) years.
