I read or heard that it is possible to recut a 45/60 chamber to 45/75 without any undo issues.

I found Hobie's chamber measurements for the 45/75 but cannot find a drawing for the 45/60.  I did find the Chappy cartridge measurements off the Marstar website.  I did a google search for 'chamber measurements of 45/60' but found nothing.

Does someone know that this can definitely be done or has actually done this already?  Does someone have a chamber drawing for the 45/60 so that I could then compare both measrurements?

Someone of another posting talked about having an original 45/60 but would really like to have a 45/75 cartridge instead.  Well, I would also be interested in knowing if this could be done but on a Chappy (45/60 is easier to load but 45/75 was the original chambering).  I know the other person probably does not want to cut an original barrel but if possible.....who knows.

I dont see any reason it would not work, BRS . The only thing is the reamer would start cutting before the pilot enters the bore as a bore guide . Should not be a problem with perfect alignment and a rigid set-up , just dont crowd the reamer and go slow. Would not doubt that this has been done more than once. ,,,DT

Dusty,
Thanks for your reply and the practical knowledge advice.  That is something I do not have for a project like this.
