Need centerfire block

Hello!  A friend of mine just came up with a Spencer Rifle (one of 1109 converted by Springfield Arsenal) and he'd like to shoot it.  Does anyone happen to have a used centerfire block they don't want anymore?

Hey , if your still looking I have two that I dont have a use for , just put them in a carbine  ,  that came with one installed , and they both operate smoothly and hit the primer dead center.I could send pictures if interested...thanks , jim

Hello:

A c-f block should be a drop-in fit with NO cycling issues.  A few have reported here about guns having issues later discovered to be from ones assembled post-Civil War from parts or being parts of a block of rifles sold to the Mass State Militia.  If it is not the block, it could be an out-of-spec frame and possibly other parts. 

If there are fit issues, please consult here BEFORE removing metal!

I got my center fire block from S&S. I had to fine file mine to fit smoothly. I put blue in on the block to see where it was hitting. But then again, I had access to a machine shop and a machinist that could advise on fitment. Go slow, measure twice and all will be nice.
