New Model cartridge conversion question

How do you deal with the wide cartridge guide on the new model with the center fire breech block ?  Do you mill out the new cf block or replace the wide cartridge guide with the old style narrow one ? Thanks for your input.   Jw

You can, but it works just fine sitting on top.

Just as Ibgreen suggest it can work just fine.
However, it can also prove to a 'snag' point for various body parts and or uniform/clothing items, should you forget.
This is why the tops of the upper breech blocks were modified.
