Hello fellows

I found a cap maker with excellent skills. Besides his making of M1872 Caps he also makes Monroe and Houston Depot CSA Kepis. I dont know if ya'll know of him but I just added links to his website.

So Don,
It would have been nice if you'd joined us and got to know us and given us a chance to get to know you before you tried selling us your stuff.

I don't own that company fellows. I just noticed that he made quality M1872 caps and thought that ya'll might be interested. :'(

Niederlander

Point taken!  Thanks for letting us know.  People here may be a little sensitive to such things because we had a troll or two a couple of years ago who just irritated the crap out of everyone.  Once again, thanks for the heads up!

It just seemed a little strange that your very first post on CasCity was a link to a site selling uniform parts

Hello

Sorry fellows for the miscommunication.
Name is McConnell Ellis. Huge Cavalry and Indian War enthusiast. C.W. Reenactor and former Q.M. for the 1st Federal Division. Born and reared in the American S.W. Arizona and Texas. Recently retired Army Officer, former 8th and 7th Cavalry Trooper. Currently I am working in the lovely middle east as a security contractor but headed home to Texas soon (Thank God!).

I tried to join the GAF on the website, sent an email and all but have not received a reply.

Niederlander

Welcome aboard!  Sometimes it takes a little while to get  all the paperwork caught up.  Hope you get home soon!

In that case you have my sincere apologies!

As moderator one of my jobs is to remove the posts from trolls. As Neiderlander pointed out we've been trolled several times over the years. With yours I doubted that we'd ever hear from you again but thought I'd give you the chance to set the record straight. I'm glad I did.

As to you GAF membership, all of our positions are volunteer slots and that means that sometimes life gets in the way of fun in the GAF. If you'll get me the information requested on the enlistment page of the GAF website I'll see to it that you are "officially" enlisted. In the mean time consider yourself enlisted and welcome.

Don's stuff is top notch. Some of you Civil War types might remember his company Trans-Mississippi Depot that was Authentic Campaigner approved. He supplies to many museums around the nation as well.
