I'm spoiled.  OK.  Lazy too.  I admit it, I have been spoiled by my Dillon 650s.  Crank out ammunition by the bucket.  Not a problem.
loads APP like a champ, 45s, 44s, 38s, C45S, load em all.   Now ....... However ........

I got on this strange 38-55 kick.  Wanna shoot it for Planesman side matches.  So ....... I picked up a nice H&R Handi rifle for a nice price.
Really nice rifle.  Except ......... Dillon doesn't make dies for 38-55.  Not even for it's first cousin, 30-30.  Bummer.  So Started through all
my tool heads looking at what I had that might work.  45 Colt shell plate, sorta but the cases pop out.  44 shell plate, no go.  Of all
things, the 45 ACP shell plate is a perfect fitz, puttin on the Ritz.  Alignment for resizing, priming, seating, crimping are all perfect.  All
I need now, are the case feed parts for rifle (45-70??) and I'm in business.  Still have to pull the cases for powder but that's a snap.

I are a happy camper!!

Coffinmaker,
"any time" you want to load a cartridge that Dillon doesn't have dies for. just call them, tell them what you're loading and they'll tell you what parts you'll need to load. They really get you going. A world class outfit. You shouldn't have to take your case out for powder though. I know it's later but I just read your post.

If your press accepts 7/8x14 threaded dies, I have a set of RCBS 38-55 Winchester (38-55 Ballard) dies I could let go of.
Lemme know.

I shoot, therefore I am.

Gemihur,

thanks for the kind offer.  I resolved all the 35-55 loading issues I had months ago.  I'm now well set up for loading 38.55s
