Why Bill for someone who likes to post "tongue in cheek" you don't seem to reconize it in others. ;D

Perhaps it is time fer the Marshall to get us that "tongue in cheek" icon to click on, it would avoid a lot of confusion. ::)

The Shootist  has been in the mail for over a week, I just got mine yesterday & I'm only 40 miles from the PO where it was mailed. At least some folks in Lincoln NE got it last Friday. There may have been some delay because of the 'bulk mail' imprint on the cover. Even though it's been in the lower right corner for 12 years the Lincoln Post Office says that's wrong & it has to be above the mailing label instead of beside it. I've learned that individual Postmasters have a lot of leeway in what they choose to accept when it comes to bulk mail. They gave us an exception this time but said it had to be moved for future issues. I guess that's probably why Shoot!, BPCN & others have gone to an overwrap of plain paper. That's what we'll be doing from now on.

Sorry Bill, if I'd known that's how we'd end up packaging the magazine I would have started with this one so your painting didn't have to have a label plastered to it.  Looking on the bright side, the next cover painting you do for us won't be marred by either the postage indica or a label.  ;)

I'd be interested in learning exactly when some of you DO get delivery. While it would seem reasonable that they should radiate out equally from the point of mailing (Lincoln, NE) I''m not sure it actually works that way in real life.

I blame PETA, the stage drivers aren't allowed to crack the whip or yell at the horses anymore...they have to reason with them in a soft voice  ;D

Steve and I have NOT recieved our copies of the Shootist either. But what's new. When we send items to the office in Cedar Falls, they are never recieved there.
